Rocca delle Macie was established in 1973 when Italo Zingarelli decided to acquire the “Le Macie” estate extending over 230 acres. Today, the company is run by Sergio Zingarelli. The company estate now extends to more than 500 hectares, subdivided across the company’s 6 estates: Le Macie, Sant’ Alfonso, Fizzano and le Tavolelle in the Chianti Classico area. In addtion, there are 2 estates in the Marema-Campomaccione and Casa Maria Estates. The company implements agronomic techniques that are not only geared towards improving the products but also towards respecting the environment.

Aged in oak for 12 months and then in bottle for a further period. Intense ruby red. On the nose, ripe red fruit and spices. This juicy chianti Classico is awash with overtones of amarena cherries and blackberries, as well as notes of liquorice and coffee. Well balanced, pleasant structure. Very smooth and rich with a good balance of tannins.
