Rocca delle Macie was established in 1973 when Italo Zingarelli decided to acquire the “Le Macie” estate extending over 230 acres. Today, the company is run by Sergio Zingarelli. The company estate now extends to more than 500 hectares, subdivided across the company’s 6 estates: Le Macie, Sant’ Alfonso, Fizzano and le Tavolelle in the Chianti Classico area. In addtion, there are 2 estates in the Marema-Campomaccione and Casa Maria Estates. The company implements agronomic techniques that are not only geared towards improving the products but also towards respecting the environment.

Ages for a few months in big Slavonian oak to refine then in bottle for about 2 months. Intense ruby red, bouquet with ripe black cherries and small red fruits, well balanced with spicey aromas. Fruity with smooth tannins and medium aftertaste.
